Getting married or know someone who is ?
Fancy a fresh and funked up routine for your first dance ?
Surprise your guests with an unexpected twist on the traditional first dance and get us to teach and choreograph it for you. We can teach all levels so no dance experience required!
BEAT can create a dance number based on what kind of moment you want to create on the big day. Could be a duet or a group number, could be one special song or a mix of a few.
We'll talk about what dance styles could work with that song, and then talk about what you want to achieve. What's the tone of your wedding? Are you looking to do something simple and classic for your first dance or perform a showstopper that takes the crowd by surprise?
A big part of the process is we want to know your story. How you met, what is your dynamic as a pair… and the hope is for the dance to reflect your personality as a couple and celebrate that through your first dance for your friends and family.
Every first dance is unique, and everyone is coming in with different levels of dance experience, so every rehearsal process is different. We'll start slow and work together. The creative process is collaborative and we’ll rewrite parts of the dance as we go if something doesn’t feel right at first. If you have any favorite moves, we'll make sure they fit. Your first dance is all about you.
Finally, if you’re interested in dancing to an original mashup song, we edit those in-house and would be happy to make a new one for you, just ask!
Above all, the rehearsal process ought to be a great time. Planning a wedding is stressful! Your first dance should be the fun part.
Do you fancy having a Street Dance workshop for your Hen party?
Bringing fun and funk to the hen and friends ready for you to hit the dance floor in the evening and bust out the moves you learnt in the workshop!
It's all about the fun on your hen party so we can provide group dance games, teamwork and battles. Come to the hen party dressed up in old school Hip Hop clothes and dance to some Hip Hop classics.
Maybe for your first dance you could introduce some other wedding members into it flash mob-style, the best man, the bride's father and bridesmaids could all take part with you and make it a wedding routine to remember.
The married couple will obviously be in the spotlight first so we won't take that away from you. This is a fun way of gradually bringing your wedding guests to the dance floor ready for a good knees-up the rest of the night.
